Kristie Powell’s Bio
Reaching out for help is not always easy; congratulations on taking the first step!
Hi! I’m Kristie Powell. I am a therapist, mother, wife, and yoga enthusiast. For years I have enjoyed helping people cope with difficult emotions, heal from trauma, and discover their strengths. Through therapy, I teach people how to reconnect with their body and intuition, learning to love themselves and create a life worth living.
My life has taken me through a journey of discovering strength, peace, and self-love. I feel consistent joy now, but I didn’t arrive there naturally. Anxiety was a big roadblock in my life. I was well versed in avoidance, procrastination, and distraction. Through the process of therapy and introspection, I was able to find balance in my life and truly enjoy the present moment, as it is.
I am committed to helping people reconnect with the world around them and be okay with big feelings instead of distracting or avoiding. Having a guide along the way is validating and reminds us that we are not alone. Hearing the stories of my clients’ successful transformations makes my career even more rewarding.
What Counseling Looks Like With Me
One of the most important aspects of therapy is the client-clinician relationship. In session, I am here to guide you through the process of therapy and creating positive, impactful change in your life. I provide a relaxed, safe, and non-judgmental space for you to share your thoughts, experiences, and emotions. We will work together to help you create and achieve practical and attainable goals.
